  • 2014:¬† Distributed emergency supplies worth $10.6 million to Palestinians devastated by a 51-day Israeli assault on Gaza that killed 2,251 Palestinians.
  • 2012: Sent $2.3 million worth of emergency supplies to Gaza following a six-day Israeli assault that killed 23 Palestinians. Distributed emergency supplies to Palestinian refugees feeling the Syrian civil war to Jordan.
  • 2008/2009: Distributed medical supplies, food and water worth $167 thousand to Gaza during and after Israeli Operation Cast Lead, which killed 1,417 Palestinians.
  • 1985 - 1986: ¬†Provided emergency relief to Palestinian refugees in southern Lebanon during the Lebanese civil war.

The UPA Emergency Relief Fund pays for the distribution of first aid, food, water, clothing, hygiene kits, pharmaceuticals and other needs during crises.

UPA partners with local Palestinian organizations during emergencies to ensure that the needs of individuals and small communities are met in the most efficient way. With 6 employees on the ground in Gaza, UPA can mobilize material, financial and human resources on short notice.

UPA also delivers in-kind donations of medicines, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to Palestinian clinics and hospitals, which often experience severe shortages, particularly during crises, in Gaza, the West Bank and refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan.
